Welcome to Duy Anh Motorbikes. To ensure a safe and transparent experience for all riders exploring Vietnam, please review our rental and tour policies below.
1. Booking & Payments
- Reservation Deposit: A 30% deposit of the total rental or tour cost is required to secure your motorcycle.
- Full Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full before or at the time of motorcycle handover.
- Security Deposit: Upon handover, we require a security deposit. You may choose between:
- Leaving your Original Passport.
- A Cash Deposit (amount varies by bike model, e.g., $500 for XR series, higher for 800MT).
- Payment Methods: We accept Cash (VND/USD), Bank Transfers, and major Credit Cards (VISA/MasterCard).
2. Cancellation & Refunds
We understand that plans change. Our refund policy is as follows:
- 90+ Days Notice: 100% of the advance payment is refundable (excluding the non-refundable reservation deposit).
- 60 – 89 Days: 75% of the total price is non-refundable.
- 15 – 59 Days: 50% of the total price is non-refundable.
- 0 – 14 Days: 100% of the total price is non-refundable.
3. Rider Requirements & Safety
- Licensing: For all bikes above 50cc, you must possess a valid motorcycle license. We strongly recommend an International Driving Permit (IDP) under the 1968 Convention.
- Competency: Riders must be confident in their ability to handle the chosen motorcycle (e.g., manual clutch for the XR or 800MT…) on the planned route.
- Safety Gear: Helmets are compulsory by Vietnamese law for both riders and passengers. We provide high-quality helmets with every rental.
- Guided Tours: When on a guided tour, you must ride at your own pace. Never exceed your personal capabilities to “keep up” with the group.
4. Motorcycle Usage & Maintenance
- Daily Checks: For long-distance rentals, riders are responsible for basic daily checks (oil levels, tire pressure, and chain tension/lubrication).
- Fuel & Oil: You must use the correct fuel (95 Octane recommended for our ADV bikes). Damage from incorrect fuel or oil is the rider’s responsibility.
- Fault Reporting: If a warning light appears or you feel a mechanical fault, stop immediately and contact our 24/7 Support Line. Do not attempt third-party repairs without our explicit permission.
- Theft Prevention: Always park in secured, guarded parking areas (“Gửi Xe”) and keep the ignition keys in your possession.
5. Insurance & Liability
- Third-Party Insurance: Included in the rental price as per Vietnamese law.
- Medical Insurance: Duy Anh Motorbikes does not provide personal medical or travel insurance. We strictly require all riders to have their own comprehensive travel insurance that covers motorcycling.
- Damage: The rider is liable for any damage to the motorcycle or missing parts. Repairs must be made using authentic parts at authorized service centers.
- Personal Risk: By signing the contract, the rider and passenger acknowledge that motorcycling in Vietnam involves inherent risks and agree that Duy Anh Motorbikes is not liable for personal injury, illness, or death.
